우리말로는 ‘간 떨어질뻔했다’, ‘가슴이 철렁했다’ 정도 같은데 stomach을 썼어요. 또 놀랄 때는 drop이란 단어를 사용해요. mouth drop 처럼요.

Air rushed. ‘바람이 불었다’에 by라는 전치사가 붙어서 뭔가 옆을 지나쳤다는 표현이 더해지고 있죠. 잭과 애니가 덩굴을 잡고 이 나무에서 저 나무로 휙 가는 중이니까 ‘바람이 스쳤다’로~ 매직트리하우스의 매력은 바로 전치사 공부입니다~!

나무의 몸통, (코끼리의) 코, (여행용 가방) 트렁크, (자동차의 짐 싣는 곳) 트렁크
무심코 사용했던 trunk라는 단어가 여러 가지 뜻으로 사용되고 있었네요. 19권에서도 나무의 몸통이 되었다가 코끼리 코도 되었다가 다용도 trunk에요.
또 의성어가 많이 나와요.
