영어로 하기 어려운 시간표현 폼나는 영어

 이메일이나 약속 등을 해야할 때 꼭 필요한 시간표현, 의외로 어렵습니다. 시간표현을 정확히 해야하는 직장인뿐 아니라 일상생활에서도 유용한 시간영어 표현이니 제대로 정확히 배워봅니다.

1. 얼마 전에 / 며칠 전에 / 그날 = The other day 

-주로 2~10일 전에 일어난 일에 사용됨
A few days ago 

얼마 전에 이메일로 보내드렸었어요.  

I emailed it to you the other day. 

얼마 전 인터넷에서 흥미로운 것을 보았습니다. 

I saw something interesting on the internet the other day. 

제가 며칠 전에 드렸던 파일 가지고 계세요?   

Do you still have the file I gave you the other day? 

얼마 전에 마이크와 만나서 프로젝트에 대해서 의논했었어요.  

I met with Mike the other day to discuss the project. 

얼마 전 친구와 함께 아침 식사를 하러 나갔을 때였습니다.

2. 이틀에 한 번씩 Every other day
Every two days 
Every other = 하나 건너 하나 / 격 (일 / 주 / 달 / 년) 
2주에 한 번씩 Every other week 
2달에 한 번씩  Every other month 

저희는 이틀에 한 번씩 팀 미팅을 하고 있습니다.  

We have a team meeting every other day. 

격일에 한 번씩 운동해요.  

I usually work out every other day. 

매일 할 수 없다면 격일로 하세요. / 매일 할 수 없다면 격일로라도 하세요. 

If you’re not going to do every day. At least do it every other day.

격주 수요일  Every other Wednesday. 
격주 수요일 오전 9시에 회의 합시다.  

Let’s have a meeting every other Wednesday at nine.

4. 앞으로 2주 동안 for the next two weeks 
앞으로 2주 동안 트레이닝을 받으실 거예요.  

You’ll receive training for the next two weeks. 

이는 몇 시간 내에 해결될 것으로 예상되는 IT 문제입니다. 

This is an I.T. issue that will be resolved within the next few hours. 

앞으로 이틀 동안은 일정이 좀 비어있어요.  

My schedule is pretty open for the next two days. 

앞으로 3일 동안 피터가 저를 대신해서 업무를 볼 거예요.  

Peter will be filling in for me for the next three days.
