라이브 아카데미 토들러 버튼을 잘못 눌렀어 잘못했어 영어로

 오늘은 영어식 사고에 대해 다시한번 더 생각해보게 되는 강의였어요. wrong button/ wrong color처럼 모든 잘못된 것들에 wrong만 붙이면 될 것 같은 느낌이었는데 '말을 잘못하다'와 '생각을 잘못하다'할 떄는 misspeak, make a mistake으로 사용하는 것 배웁니다. 영어로 말하는 상황을 생각하며 알맞은 영어표현을 찾아서 쓰는 훈련이 필요함을 다시금 느낍니다. 라이브 아카데미 빨간 모자쌤 따라서 영어식 사고를 하고 기초 다지기부터 차근히 해 봅시다. 

 

말을 잘못하다 misspeak 

생각을 잘못하다, 판단을 잘못하다 → 실수하다 make a mistake

 

오늘 외울 문장입니다. 

I pressed the wrong button.

I bought the wrong size(color).

I misspoke earlier.

I made a mistake.

내가 버튼(단추?)를 잘못 눌렀어.

내 잘못 아니야. 그들이 (나한테) 잘못 알려줬어.

(나 너무 바보같아.) 사이즈를 잘못 샀어. 

나는 (그들에게) 주소를 맞게 줬는데 그들이 잘못 찾아갔어.

아까는 내가 말을 잘못했어.

내가 생각을 좀 잘못했어. → 내가 실수를 했어. 

 

I pressed the wrong button.

 

It's not my fault. They gave me the wrong information.

(They didn't give me the right/wrong information.)

 

I gave them the right(correct) address, but they went to the wrong address.

 

(I'm so stupid.)I bought the wrong size(color).

 

I misspoke earlier.
