[ 영어회화 ] I hope / I'm hoping / Hopefully, ...

A: I hope it doesn't rain this weekend.

B: Why? You got something special planned?(= Do you hace something special planned?)

A: Yeah. My parents just got some really nice patio furniture and they're having some people over for a barbecue. So, I'm just hoping we get some good weather.

B: Well, you know the forcast gets it wrong all the time. Hopefully, they're wrong again this time.

★Hope
1. I hope it doesn’t rain -
2. I am just hoping we get some good weather. -
3. Hopefully, they are wrong again this time – 너와 내가 같이 바랄때 / 공통의 희망사항

-Side note
1. Hopefully → I hope 와 I am just hoping 써야 할때 대신 쓸 수 있음
2. I hope 와 I am just hoping를 서로 바꿔 쓰면 의외로 어색함(언제부터 시작된 소망인지가 관건)

"I'm hoping.."
"I was hoping we would get some good weather."
* 추가로, "I was hoping you could help me with this."
