As I get older, I can feel my body making shift. No matter how I try, I can't run as fast as I could before, but to tell you the truth, I don't really care to.(45p) 

Even better, I'm privy to insights about myself that only a lifetime of learning can bring.(45p)

나이가 들어감에 따라 변화되는 모든 것에 조금은 서글퍼지기도 하는데 오프라 윈프리의 말 한마디, "I don't really care to." 이 말이 왜이리도 통쾌하게 들릴까요?

When you can see obstacles for what they are, you never lose faith in the path it takes to get you where you want go. 

So learning to appreciate your lessons, mistakes, and setbacks as steppingstones to the future is a clear sign you're moving in the right direction.(46p)

What I know for sure is that there is no strength without challenge, adversity, resistance, and often pain. Chances are, you've had a few. But here's what's remarkable: You are still here, still standing.(48p)

매일 함께 일상을 살다보면 가끔은 가장 중요한 게 뭔지 잊게 되곤해요. 그렇지만 가장 가까운 가족에게 사랑하는 마음을 담아 따뜻한 말 한마디 전하는 걸 잊지 말아야 겠다 싶어요.

 

What I know for sure is that a lack of intimacy is not distance from someone else: it is disregard for yourself.(53p)
