Books can take you anywhere. Across oceans, across borders, to places you may have never seen. And those books are some of the ones that we treasure the most. Today we're recommending great books that take you around the world.

And those books are some of the ones that we treasure most.
*treasure (동사) 소중히 여기다
It's really sweet and kind of an offbeat family story.
*offbeat 색다른, 특이한
*memoir 회고록
*microaggression 미세한 공격
*outright 노골적인
outright racism 노골적인 인종차별
*not quite : 완전히 …하지는 않은, 그다지 …하지는 않는
Not quite like the streets are paved with gold.

Begin to chip away at his idea of what the U.S. was.
It follows kind of his story of becoming infatuated with and falling in love with a girl

But then it's also kind of set alongside the process of this city kind of getting totally changed
